Fall Activities to Be Happy About

Another Fall season is upon us. It’s still all kinds of different. However there are a few things you can do during this season of change. Keep in mind, there’s also the risk of season depression, COVID-19, Monkeypox and life happening all around us. As season changes this Summer to Fall switch can be fun but often times hard so let’s talk it.

Seasonal Depression

This is super real. It has a lot to do with the decrease in sun. As there is a lack of sunlight people tend to get more and more depressed. Summer comes with all kinds of fun. So Fall is the beginning switch of being more focused and that in itself can mean less and less time for leisure. I personally suffer from seasonal depression and have for quite some time. For me last year was the first year I didn’t dip as low as I normally do. Here are a few things I did last year that helped.

COVID19, Monkeypox, Allergies, Flu, and Colds

This is a combination that will make this new season incredibly tricky. I would suggest being very vigilant on taking vitamins and supplements. We have been increasing our intake with our doctors blessing on things like elderberry, etc. For us it’s a way to naturally make sure our immune system is prepared. Continue to wash your hands vigorously as well as wear your masks when you aren’t home . COVID-19 hasn’t left yet. So many who have never had a flu shot will get one this season. It makes sense! Do what you can and what makes sense to keep your health your number one priority! Also now Monkeypox as a global health crisis just makes us all want to throw the world away.

Life Happens

So many people are suffering. Lack of jobs, unemployment rates increasing or remaining steady, loss of homes, etc all of this, is making life difficult. So where so many of us are buying all of the pumpkins everything, so many can’t even tap into this moment because their lives are turned upside down. Let’s not be shitty humans and forget that. When and wherever you can help, help. Help with no pretense. Let’s help when cameras aren’t on. Help from the goodness of your heart. Help! Sometimes not turning your nose up is the best help. One of the things I was always taught is someone else’s worse, can be my reality. Stay humble!

Fall Activities

There are so many Fall activities that can be done. From hay rides to apple picking. A lot of farms have social distance practices in place. I know at Linvilla Orchards, you have to get timed tickets. Be sure to look up the Fall activity location to know their rules and regulations. Also there is Shady Brook Farms that have a lot of amazing activities too. Fall is different but it can be done. What if you’re not feeling comfortable venturing out? Understandable. Here are my at home list to do:

Why Fall is my Favorite

I love Fall. Even with the negative things that I can’t help but deal with, Fall is just a beautiful time. From the changing leaves to the ambiance of what the season brings, I truly look forward to it. I can’t wait to indulge in my Fall treats. Here are my personal favorites of the season:

With Fall especially with the way things have or will evolve it’s going to be important that we enjoy the many moments as much as possible. Fall welcomes cooler weather. Fall is going to be all that you put into it. Welcome Fall!

Also another season means checking into self and family. Do you need an eye appointment? What about other health related check ups? Change your makeup out and/or get new brushes, etc. What’s your savings plan for Christmas? Road trips planned? The sky’s the limit. Have some fun but be aware of yourself too!

So what are your Fall must haves or go to? Tell me here!
